Quandary’s Air Quality Monitoring team is looking for an Air Quality Field Specialist to assist with both field and office tasks in support of our air quality monitoring efforts, primarily in the Oil and Gas and Transportation industries. This role will be a split office and field position, performing a variety of different tasks in support of the program.
Expected Salary: $57,000 - $70,000 Annually, DOE
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week minimum
Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily

Quandary’s Air Quality Monitoring team is looking for an Air Quality Field Specialist to assist with both field and office tasks in support of our air quality monitoring efforts, primarily in the Oil and Gas and Transportation industries. Duties/Responsibilities |
- Assist in preparation, deployment, and all sampling aspects of air monitoring activities, including:
- Performing installations and demobilizations or air quality monitoring equipment in the field
- Completing routine maintenance and calibrations of air quality monitoring equipment in the field and office
- Performing monthly data reporting tasks
- Assist in the creation of air quality monitoring plans
- Become proficient in and utilize each monitoring technology’s data management and analysis systems and dashboards
- Regular client interaction both in the field and in the office in support of air monitoring projects
- Function as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies with assistance from team members
- Learn and gain a solid understanding of the air quality regulations and voluntary frameworks related to air monitoring and provide guidance to clients to ensure compliance with regulations
- Assist Air Monitoring Program Manager and other team members with vetting different monitoring technologies, suggesting process improvements and efficiencies, providing input on the development of the program from a Field Scientist point of view
- Occasionally assist the Air Quality team with permitting and compliance tasks not directly related to monitoring
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.

Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience working with hands/mechanical/trades etc. required.
- Direct air monitoring equipment experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
Working conditions/Physical Requirements |
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks in the field that can be physically demanding
- Travel including overnight stay will occasionally be required
- Standing for long periods of time
- Prolonged sitting
- Walking long distances
