Environmental Field Technician will support field staff with environmental screening, sampling, analysis, and evaluation of site conditions. Works with subcontractors and others to support and guide site work. Evaluates sample results in support of site recommendations and to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week average, occasional overtime
Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily.

Environmental Field Technician will support field staff with environmental screening, sampling, analysis, and evaluation of site conditions. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently and collaboratively conduct fieldwork in remote and urban locations, including active construction sites with minimal supervision.
- Project preparation including sample preparation, decontamination procedures, rent/procure equipment and materials, troubleshoot/repair, and equipment calibration.
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling for Site Assessment and Remediation programs.
- Actively participate in safety programs and support a safe work culture.
- Collect detailed, accurate, scientific field data and write detailed soil descriptions.
- Observe and evaluate environmental conditions.
- Ability to operate sampling equipment and field screening equipment.
- Oversee the installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
- Interpret and manage spatial data using ESRI products, Google Earth, or similar platforms.
- Organize and manage data from fieldwork and ensure data is complete and accurate.
- Perform basic calculations and data evaluation.
- Prepare, maintain, and present reports and records.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field, not required.
- Transferable experience: construction, mechanical, laboratory, environmental, field science, etc.
- 0-2 years of consulting experience preferred
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- CPR/AED certification preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Travel daily for field work, with occasional overnight stays (up to 20%)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
- Standing/sitting for long periods of time
- Walking long distance
- Lifting heavy objects, include weight maximums (i.e., up to 50 lbs.)
- Repetitive tasks that are physically demanding
- Working around heavy equipment
- Working in and around open excavations
- Work using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Controlled working conditions in and around impacted media
